For high outputs at small diameters and more productivity, Reimotec Maschinen & Anlagenbau introduced a fully automated high-speed monofilament line with a maximum line speed of 1,000m/min. According to Reimotec, the line’s maximum output rate exceeds that of currently available systems by 750m/min. The speed of the line is made possible by a high degree of automation and advanced downstream components able to keep up with the line speed.
With its new high-speed monofilament line, Reimotec also launched a new version of its quality control systems for line speeds of up to 1,000m/min. The systems RM-IDC (for filament diameter monitoring) and RM-SDS (for checking for thick/thin areas) are said to provide continuous, seamless monitoring of filaments and documentation of results.
Additionally, the company introduced a compatible high-speed winder for a maximum speed of 1,200m/min, for instance, for up to 80 reels simultaneously. Therefore, producers running their line at full speed will then be able to make 80km of monofilament per minute, says Reimotec. The product quality (diameter and uniformity of filaments) is automatically monitored by the RM-IDC and RM-SDS measuring systems.
Both monitoring systems are connected to the newly developed robot handling system Reimi R-1000 that automatically supplies the winder of the Reimotec high-speed system with empty reels, picks up full reels, and transports them to a customer-defined location. The robot system also accesses the monitoring data and immediately removes defective reels.
