- Getecha supplies to CVB Ecologisticsmit
- Significant energy savings by use of load-dependent motor control
- Expansion to 2.8 tons per hour
The recycling company CVB Ecologisticsmit, Tilburg, The Netherlands, has expanded the capacity of a recently acquired recycling plant by installing equipment from German company Getecha. Getecha delivered the granulator, and also parts of the conveying, dedusting and packaging system. The capacity has been expanded to 2.8 tons per hour and existing equipment integrated.
The heart of the new recycling plant is the RotoSchneider 6015 granulator featuring a 1,500 mm wide 5-blade rotor (rotor cutting diameter: 600 mm) with three stationary blades and a 132 kW motor. The RS 6015 granulator is able to grind a wide range of plastic waste from sticky lumps and solid panels to complete fuel tanks. In the Tilbursind plant, the granulator is mainly used for polypropylene waste from the plastic processing industry, including containers, cups and polypropylene lumps. In order to avoid a possible bridging in the feeding hopper and to increase the throughput, the granulator is equipped with a stuffing device. And the granulator is equipped with an energy saving motor controller which, without the loss of torque, provides always just the necessary voltage.
The RS 6015 granulator is fed from two directions: from the front a 1,100mm wide conveyor belt conveys the plastic waste up to the hopper. And from the left side another conveyor feeds the granulator with pre-crushed material coming from a shredder. Getacha also supplied all the conveying belts for the feeding of the granulator, the extraction system with dedusting of regrind and waste air, and the filling in big bags. An important factor in terms of system integration of existing and new components was the implementation of a load-dependent control of the RS 6015 with automatic control of all conveyor belts and shredder. The control guarantees a continuous material flow of material and prevents a possible overload of the granulator.
A blower with cyclone separator is installed next to the granulator which conveys the ground material to the dedusting system where impurities are removed. After the dedusting process, the cleaned material is automatically filled into big bags. The frame of the big bag filling station is equipped with a filling level control that automatically switches-over between two big bags. Parallel the exhausted fine particles (impurities) are conveyed to a third big bag. A second installed granulator, for the size reduction of mixed waste from PET, PE, ABS and PS, is also equipped with a big bag filling station.
