PETA of Nexam Chemicals is a crosslinker that improves the properties of polymers such as polyimides, nylons and polyesters. One of the main features of the new crosslinker: it lowers the curing temperature of the polymer. The company estimates that the global production of plastics where PETA could be used comprises more than 20 million tons per year. Now the patent application regarding PETA is also approved in Taiwan.

At the moment PETA is being evaluated by customers in different fields. It concerns, for example, electronics applications, increased efficiency and improvement of manufacturing processes, and improvement of temperature resistance and service life of the materials.

As previously announced, the corresponding European and US applications has also been granted. In addition, Nexam Chemical has applied for PETA patents in other markets, including China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and Brazil.
