- Brückner to deliver BOPP film line to Algeria
- 8.7m wide line, 40,000 tons capacity
- Production start: middle of 2016
Algerien “Biaxial Films Packaging SpA (BFP) and Brückner Maschinenbau teamed up for the very first production line for biaxially oriented plastics film in the Maghreb. The state-of-the-art 8.7m wide BOPP film line will be located at Sétif in northeastern Algeria, 300 kilometers east of Algiers. Production start is planned for the middle of 2016, the line’s annual capacity will be more than 40,000 tons.
The president of BFP Abdelhak Ouzzir says: “Our new line will help to satisfy the fast growing demand for flexible packaging in Northern Africa. We will manufacture a wide range of high quality biaxially oriented PP films for various applications. With Brückner at our side we can be sure not only to get the best equipment available but also comprehensive support throughout all phases of the project. We are looking forward to the cooperation and the first film on winder on the Maghreb’s first BO film line.”
